Your Stay
What Is a Cabina?
A "cabina" is Costa Rica's own take on the small, family-run motel or guesthouse. Where a resort hotel is built and staffed at scale, a cabina is usually a handful of simple, clean rooms run directly by the family that owns the property, often with a shared kitchen or garden area guests can use. It's a style of lodging that goes back decades along the Guanacaste coast, well before Tamarindo's larger hotels arrived.
Staying in a cabina instead of a hotel chain means lower rates, a more personal check-in experience, and direct contact with people who actually know the town. It also tends to suit travelers who care more about being steps from the sand than about a lobby or a pool.
Rooms
Rooms come with or without air conditioning, each with a private bathroom and a ceiling fan. Guests share access to a community kitchen, a laundry service, and secure inside parking. The garden grounds sit directly across the street from Tamarindo Beach.
Location
Being directly across the street from Tamarindo Beach means you can walk to the sand in under a minute, no car or shuttle needed. Tamarindo's main strip of restaurants, surf shops, and tour operators is an easy walk from the property, so most days here don't require renting a car at all.
